My risk referred, what does this mean?

When a risk falls outside WebRater's standard appetite, there's still a path forward.

DUAL's WebRater platform gives brokers access to a range of insurance products. When a risk falls outside the standard underwriting appetite, a referral is automatically triggered — and you can submit it directly to our specialist underwriters for consideration.

How to submit a referral:

1. If a quote is referred, you’ll be notified on the Build Quote screen. You’ll see a message confirming the risk has been referred to an underwriter, along with the reason for the referral.

2. At this stage, you can add any additional information that may assist with the assessment using the text box provided, or upload supporting documents. 

3. Although optional, providing this information upfront can help support a faster review and create a smoother experience for both brokers and underwriters.
   WebRater will automatically send the referral request directly to an underwriter for review and they will be in contact with you shortly to discuss the risk.
4. A DUAL underwriter will review the referral and be in touch with you.

   Once reviewed, DUAL's underwriting team will contact you directly to discuss the outcome or request any further information needed to assess the risk.
